- The Physical Institute of the University of Zurich plans to purchase a dilution cryostate
(Dilution Fridge = DF) in order to develop superconductive sensors for use in particle physics and to search for mild matter (DM). A two-component payload
is operated in the DF:1) Supralent sensors such as TES or SNSPDs including detectortarget (Si, sapphire, he)
with masses between grams and kilograms. 2) Squid excess electronics in relative proximity to the
sensors. Sensors and the squids should be free of magnetic fields. The basic temperature must
at the mixing chambera cooling capacity of at least 400 μW below 10 MK and at 100 MK at
at least 400 μW. The experiment should be able to maintain its basic temperature for at least three months in the uninterrupted operation.
The DF needs a mechanical pre -cooling to external coolantTo avoid, except
smaller amounts of liquid nitrogen for the gas system. The He3/He4 mix in the
dilution cooling unit is to be operated in a closed circuit. The control and
software system of the DF should be independent and should be able to operate the operation and data collectionto allow via network. The DF should only have low
vibrations on the mixing chamber. In order to minimize the vibrations of the pumps and compressors of the cooling circuit themselves, we must assemble the pulse tube and the compressors separately from the cryostate. AtLief... - Documents :
