- This major works contract involves both the construction of new forestry roads and the reconstruction of existing forestry roads to access Timber Sale Licence (TSL) TA2500 in the Strait of Georgia Business Area. The works are in the Sayward Forest proximate to Campbell River, BC. The total reconstructionis approximately 1.817 kilometers, involving brushing, road widening, ditch establishment, culvert installation, minor resurfacing, danger tree removal and right of way falling where identified on the project plans. The total new road construction is estimated at 1.644 kilometers. Drilling and blastingwill occur in proximity to high value recreation trails, and specialized falling equipment has been requested in the solicitation see Info to Bidders for additional details. Please note that additional documents are required to be submitted with your bid. Refer to the Conditions of Tender, specificallysections 5 and 14, highlighted in yellow. Time is of the essence. The works are required to achieve Timber Sale Licence targets for fiscal year 2026. For detailed information on the specific works required, see the Schedule C Project Specifications.
