- Starting from the renovation area "Historical Mitte Echterdingen", the public space of the historic town center of Echterdingen is to be redesigned. The core of this redesign are the conversion of Bernhauser Strasse, the creation of a central public green area and the further developmentof the town hall area. The goal is to be a careful development of the area in which a special value is to be placed on the preservation of historical structures. New buildings and uses should fit into the inventory and complement them positively. To note is a continuousBarrier-free development of public outdoor and interiors. The planning task is divided into three sub -areas, which are to refer to each other and are to be processed together. The freedom design is the first planning task and part of a VGV procedure, afterwardsto be able to start the procedure with the implementation. These include the focus rooms Bernhauser Strasse, Kirchplatz and Burgstrasse Sued and the future city garden. A lively shopping and lounge area is to be created along Bernhauser Strasse, which the various usage claimsUnited on site. A central public green area is to be created with the city garden. Burgstrasse and the church square are to form an attractive transition between the two areas.
