• Request for proposals are invited for Replacing of Obsolete Fire and Gas Systems at Export Facilities. Date of Announcement (In Kuwait AL-Youm) 24th September 23 Last Date for Submission of applications for participation in tender 24th October 23 Tentative Date of Issue of Tender 26th October 23 BRIEF SCOPE OF WORKS The Works to be carried out by the Contractor for replacement of required parts of obsolete Fire and Gas (F&G) detection systems and Fire Alarm systems / Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP-s) with latest and approved fully integrated parts for Fire & Gas Detection Systems and Fire Alarm Systems, shall include preparation of all necessary documents like detailing of engineering documents as necessary that are issued by the Company, detailed design calculations and modifications in existing drawings (here onwards Technical Documents) management of maintenance activities, procurement and supply of all necessary parts and materials, storage, assembly, provision of personnel, tools, equipment, dismantling and removal of existing obsolete F&G Systems and FACPs, co-ordination with Honeywell DCS supplier (M/s Honeywell) to interface and necessary configuration in DCS, testing, and commissioning with all associated alterations for Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation and Civil Works as described further in the relevant parts of the Technical Specification and Drawings. This shall include but not be limited to the following: Site Survey Site Survey to be conducted in all areas within the project scope of work. Contractor-s Scope for Preparation of Technical Documents For the installation of the replaced systems, which need not be necessarily of the same make, the Contractor shall carry out a comprehensive study of the existing systems and drawing and documents and prepare Technical Documents for the new systems and necessary approvals shall be obtained from the Company. Procurement, Installation and Replacement Works The Contractor shall not start material procurement, construction or installation work before the related technical documents required by the Contract are approved by the Superintendent. Technical documents approved by the Company shall form the basis for the performance of the Works and shall not thereafter be modified in any way without the express written consent of the Superintendent. For issuance of any Purchase Order (PO), the Contractor shall obtain prior approval of Company for the draft PO as well as purchase specifications & data sheets. Hardware The details pertaining to the hardware and software configuration are detailed under clauses of Technical Specification. Software and Configuration The Contractor shall develop the minimum system requirements based on this specification, existing drawings, system architecture, Cause & effect, alarm & shutdown philosophy and KOC standards referenced herein. Latest versions of third party proprietary software packages and licenses needed for all computer-based operating systems and application software shall be included.
