Description: 1.4 Backgroundthe City is in the Process of Implementing a Source Separated Organic Waste Program and is Transitioning to Automated Cart-Based Collection of Garbage and Organic Waste. the City Plans to Initiate the Launch of Automated Cart-Based Collection Starting with Delivery of Carts for Garbage to Approximately 10,000 Curbside Residential Properties in the Fall of 2025. Roll out of Garbage Carts to the Remaining Curbside Residential Properties is Planned for the Spring of 2026 Followed by Roll out of Green Bin Carts to All Curbside Residential Properties in the Spring of 2027.
