- Quotation are invited for Switch, Three Way 12 KV SF6 Ring Main Unit. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF 12 KV THREE WAY EXTENSIBLE SF6 RING MAIN UNIT General Construction: ‐ • Extensible, Free standing Units • One Ring Switch units for feeder control (630 Amp) and Two Transformer Switch‐Fuse unit (200 Amp) for controlling transformer • Live parts of Ring Switch units and Transformer Fuse Switch unit are located in a separate SF6 gas filled corrosion proof steel compartments. • Sleeved and shrouded bus bars are located in air‐insulated metallic bus bar compartments. • SF6 gas is used for arc interruption as well as insulation for the Ring Switches, Ring Earthing Switches, Transformer Fuse Switch and Transformer Earthing Switch. • Independent manual spring operated mechanisms for Ring Switches, Ring Earthing Switches, Transformer Fuse Switch and Transformer Earthing Switch. • Weatherproof enclosures to the SF6 Tanks, mechanisms, cable terminations etc. Rating : ‐ Ring Switch : Fuse Switch Rated Voltage 12 kV 12 kV Rated Current (Ambient Temp. 50°C) 630 A : 200 A Busbar Current (Ambient Temp. 50°C) 630 A : 630 A Rated breaking capacity 630 A : *25 kA Rated short time current 25 kA -1 Sec : *25 kA Rated Peak Withstand Current 62.5kAp : 62.5 kAp Rated Short time current (Earth Switch) 25 kA -1 Sec : 3.15 kA -3 Sec Impulse withstand voltage 75 kVp : 75 kVp One min.
