- The municipality of Appenweier operates a mechanical-biological sewage treatment plant to clean the wastewater from the districts of Appenweier, Urloffen and Nesselried. To expand and optimize, the sewage treatment plant is supplemented by another revelation basin, two backlog basin, as well as a technology building.
