- At Chalmers, there is a continuous need for new acquisition and supplementary purchases of vacuum components and vacuum pumps. Many disciplines on Chalmers, mainly in research, use vacuum components in measurement and process contexts. The equipment that this procurement concerns consists of all kinds ofVacuum pumps as well as accessories/components such as flanges, pressure gauge valves and the like. Purchases from this framework agreement will mainly apply to supplements, modifications and repairs of existing equipment (brand new, larger experimental equipment is usually procured separately). The procurementRefers to components in the broad sense, i.e. Everything included in the respective supplier's range. Compatibility with existing equipment is sometimes important. In the research activities, the need is more mixed. Often pumps are needed with extreme performance, but it is also not uncommon for simpler pumps. WithinThis area is some difficulties in defining exactly what components the need includes in a "traditional shopping basket" and needs can be changed and become outdated. Therefore, only certain components (the most common occurrence) are specified in this procurement, see Appendix 1. The need for components andPumps within Chalmers are varied and the clients need in the new framework agreement a flexibility. Against this background, a mixed call-off and ordering procedure is applied in the framework agreement.
