Description:
Tenders are invited for Wind Sock. WINDSOCK 1. The wind sock shall attain the shape of a truncated cone when filled with air and shall indicate the true wind direction 2. The wind sock shall be able to rotate 360 degrees freely about the vertical shaft it is attached to, when subjected to wind of 3 knots (5.6 km/hr. or 3.5 mph) or more 3. Fabric shall conform to BS EN ISO 20471 (Standard for high visibility clothing) 4. Windsock Body length: 60” (60 inches approximately) 5. Windsock throat diameter: 18” (18 inches) or more (slightly); Big size end of the windsock is called “throat” 6. Fluro luminescent highly visible color, preferably orange color or white & orange strips 7. Double or triple stitched at all seams; It shall be reinforced at all points that are subject to abrasion by flexing against the metal framework and be designed for replacement without use of special tools or stitching. 8. Made with a reinforced mouth and fitted with a single band of brass eyelets. FABRIC: 1. Wind sock shall be made of water repellent long-lasting fabric (parachute cloth or equivalent) 2. Fabric and all components must be UV resistant, suitable for hot & cold windy climatic conditions of Kuwait 3. Fabric having good quality and long lasting, preferably conforming to international standards such as BS EN ISO 20471 (Standard for high visibility clothing) and BS EN 343 (Protective Clothing: Protection against rain) are preferable (Note: Suppliers can provide copy of third party certificates as evidence for complying with these standards to substantiate the quality of the fabric; certified fabrics have priority over non certified fabrics) 4. Fabric must be Fluro luminescent, highly visible color, preferably orange color or white & orange strips ACCESSORIES 1. The ropes used for tying the windsock with the frame must be long-lasting, preferably steel wires for easy attachment to the frame. Issue Date: 19-Sep-2021 Due Date: 03-Oct-2021.
